If you have never used Cisco Webex, you will be asked to download the Webex app when you click on the link for the first time. You have the option to participate through your web browser, but we strongly recommend installing the app to ensure your presentation will go as smoothly as possible. The installation process is quick and easy. After installation, the operation is intuitive.
You will be muted when the workshop starts. Please unmute yourself when making comments.
At the upper-right corner of your Webex screen, you can choose different ways to see participants and the presenter’s shared screen. Our suggestion is to use the “floating panel view” to maximize the presenter’s slides at the center of your screen. You will also see a control panel at the right-hand side that will enable you to further zoom in and out of the presenter’s shared screen.
When you’re presenting, move your mouse cursor to the center bottom of your Webex window, and you will see four icons. The third from the left icon allows you to share your screen and show your slides.
If you would like to see as many audiences as possible when presenting, we suggest using two devices to join the meeting. Use one device to share the screen and show your slides (please mute this device). Use the other device to talk to the audiences and use the “floating panel view” and then move your cursor to the upper-right corner of the audience screens and choose “View all participants in floating view” to maximize the number of faces you will see.
